We all watch Chris Harris YouTube videos because they are basically free Top Gear without the fracas.
I cannot find any information on where/how he learned how to drive/drift/etc. like he does.

He wrote for Autocar and EVO before if that helps. I see him around here sometimes, you should ask him.

Thanks for responding. I know that part of his history. He drives in the 24 hours of Nurburgring. So he had to have had some track school time.

He took lessons for track driving and drifting when he in his early 20s. I think the story goes he called Autocar’s bluff since they said if he learned to drive properly they would give him a permanent job after he did multiple internships for them.

I’ve wondered about this also. I don’t know that he’s exactly a hot shoe but he definitely has talent derived from race car seat time. He and Jethro Bovingdon, in particular, are people whose opinions I hold in high regard specifically because their driving skill is immediately apparent. Wish all auto journalists had that skill set.

He worked for Autocar, and also was an instructor for a drifting school.
